Inspired by the tradition of Lovers Eyes jewelry, a small collection of very sentimental and very personal jewels. All miniature portraits by Robyn Rich
Immerse yourself in the world of Lover's Eye jewelry, where emotions and art converge to create treasures that transcend time. With their elegant beauty and profound symbolism, these exquisite jewels will infuse your life with love and romance, making them an enchanting addition to any collector's repertoire.
Robyn Rich is a Melbourne based artist with a long tradition of miniature portraits, especially those featuring Lover’s Eyes. We were immediately drawn to her intimate universe, the expression of her art work so intense and so emotional.
Quoting directly from her website https://www.robynrich.com/
“I have had a long fascination with eyes, inspired by the tradition and history of Georgian Lover’s Eyes. These tokens of love came before photography and the wealthy would have the eye of a loved one painted and set in a piece of beautiful jewellery, allowing them to carry it with them wherever they went. But apart from that our eyes are amazing windows we look through to see the world and allow others to see into ours. They show our emotion, joy, heartache, longing, tiredness and health. Every one is so individual and unique.”
Our goal was to mount or to frame some of her portraits using old pendant watches or making entirely new pieces like swivel rings, or a few pendants and even a playful line diamond bracelet with a swivel charm.
